Compare with your policy (optional)
This tool calculates in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to this website or to an insurance partner, and it disappears when you reload the page.
How it works
The estimator adds the replacement values you enter and compares the total with your policy's personal property limit. The optional actual-cash-value line applies simple straight-line depreciation (value × (1 − age ÷ useful life)) to show the gap between replacement cost and actual cash value.
Arizona DIFI notes that most standard policies cover personal property on an actual cash value basis unless you buy replacement cost coverage, and recommends appraisals and a home inventory for high-value items (DIFI home insurance page).
Limits of this tool
Your estimates drive the result. Insurers depreciate items differently, and special limits for categories like jewelry, firearms or collectibles vary by policy. Use the result to start a conversation with your insurer, not as a coverage determination.
